SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME -

There Are leaks news shows that garfield and maguire are not part of the movie

Tom Holland is play both universe character in SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME (MULTI - VERSE) Upon Garfield and Manguire Other Character of These universe are Present in SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME

It's an open secret Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will be appearing in Spider-Man: No Way Home - so why didn't the trailer show them? The Spider-Man threequel is one of the most anticipated films in Marvel's Phase 4 slate. Excitement has been building, and finally Marvel and Sony have released the first Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer. Featuring Tom Holland's Spider-Man and Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange, this confirms reports the Multiverse would be a major part of the film - and even features the return of Alfred Molina's Doctor Octopus.

The trailer doesn't show everything, though. Previous Spider-Man actors Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield are strongly rumored to be associated with the production as well, swinging their way into the MCU as variants of Spider-Man from different timelines. Some actors from Spider-Man: No Way Home have even stopped trying to pretend they're not in it, with Mr. Dell actor JB Smoove excitedly talking about how he'll love to see Tobey Maguire working with Tom Holland. The Spider-Verse team-up really is one of Hollywood's worst kept secrets.

In truth, the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer does indeed confirm the various cinematic universes are intertwining. The power flares it shows are associated with Jamie Foxx's Electro from 2014's The Amazing Spider-Man 2, the Goblin bomb is clearly one of those used by William Dafoe's Green Goblin in 2002's Spider-Man, and of course the trailer ends with a superb shot of Alfred Molina's Doctor Octopus - the main villain of 2004's Spider-Man 2. It makes sense to focus on this version of Doctor Octopus, who's generally considered one of the best characters to ever appear in a superheromovie; Molina himself has hardly been secretive about his involvement, openly discussing his role in interviews, so this reveal doesn't spoil much. Doctor Octopus doesn't even have a new design, unlike Foxx's Electro, which is yet to be seen.

Fans are eager to see the three different big-screen versions of Spider-Man interact, but they'll need to wait a little longer. For now, the focus is purely upon Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, and the crises they face; the real Multiversal potential will only be seen in a second trailer in a couple of months' time, and even then Sony and Marvel would be wise just to include a couple of shots of the three Spider-Men teaming up. This is marketing, after all, and they don't want to give away too much about Spider-Man: No Way Home

When the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer dropped, and it's missing two of the movie's largest reported roles.

Throughout the two-minute teaser, neither Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield were seen, despite months of rumors of their return.

Throughout the entire production process everyone involved with the movie has been careful not to mention the two but fans are still hoping they will both appear as Spider-Man.

With most of the cast returning from Spider-Man: Far From Home, you might expect the film to only feature one or two new characters. After all, the film needs a villain and maybe a few subordinates, right? Well, it looks like No Way Home will feature plenty of new faces.

The first of which is Jamie Foxx reprising his role from The Amazing Spider-Man 2! Foxx plays the villain known as Electro, the same villain who went face-to-face with Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man almost a decade ago. He’s not the only Spider-Man alum returning; Alfred Molina is also set to return as Doctor Octopus in the film. You might remember his bout with Tobey Maguire in Spider-Man 2 back in 2004.

Those are the only two confirmed actors to be reprising roles from other Spider-Man franchises. Still, Collider exclusively reported that Garfield and Kirsten Dunst are expected to return, and offers were out to Maguire and Emma Stone as well. That said, we still have no firm confirmation from Sony either way.

Now, it might seem weird that these actors are returning to their roles all these years later, but we’ve seen J.K. Simmons replay J. Jonah Jameson, so there is precedent. Alongside the Spider-Man alums, we also have major MCU players making appearances. Benedict Cumberbatch is reprising his role as the sorcerer supreme, Doctor Strange, leading us to the next topic.

Spider-Man: No Way Home cast

Spider-Man: No Way Home will feature a huge cast. While previous Spider-Man stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon and Marisa Tomei will be reprising their roles, they will also be joined by other stars from the wider MCU as well as stars from previous unrelated Spider-Man movies.

Here is the full cast of the 2021 film:

  • Tom Holland – Peter Parker/Spider-Man
  • Zendaya – MJ
  • Jacob Batalon – Ned Leeds
  • Marisa Tomei – Aunt May Parker
  • Jamie Foxx – Matt Dillon/Electro
  • Benedict Cumberbatch – Doctor Stephen Strange
  • Alfred Molina – Otto Octavius/Doctor Octopus
  • Tony Revolori – Eugene “Flash” Thompson
  • Harry Holland – Unnamed drug dealer

Former Spider-Man stars Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, along with respective love interests Kirsten Dunst and Emma Stone, are rumored to appear in some capacity as well, along with Willem Dafoe and Daredevil‘s Charlie Cox.
